Listening to my body, choosing another way
Lorraine Traynor
Qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner (CMA Recognised)

There are moments when the body signals the need for a different level of attention.
In my early forties, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Alongside the diagnosis came a conventional treatment plan, but I also felt there was more to understand about what I was experiencing. Something in me chose to pause.
I wanted to understand what was going on and explore whether there was another way forward. That search led me to Ayurveda.
What began as a personal search for answers gradually became a vocation. The more I experienced the wisdom of Ayurveda, the more I wanted to understand it fully. This led me to formally study and qualify as an Ayurvedic Practitioner under Dr Sam Watts.
Through this work, my health began to improve gradually, but more importantly, I developed a far deeper understanding of myself and what I needed to thrive.
Today, through Herveda, I bring together that lived experience with professional training: a thoughtful, personal approach where Eastern wisdom meets Western life, to restore balance and cultivate lasting wellbeing.
